Are you are seeking a project based role where you have finance accountability within a public sector environment? This autonomous role sits within Pensions & Payroll, you will be line managing one other who will be supporting you. The successful post holder will be providing efficient, effective and proactive management of Pension arrangements, in accordance with current legislation and overseeing Pensions audits.

You will:

  • Ensure and maintain a strong understanding of all pension matters within the organisation for both Support Staff and Operational Staff
  • Ensure that all pension statutory regulations are correctly applied and employees are updated with changes
  • Research, prepare and present reports to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Oversee case work relating to specific individual issues, ensuring issues are addressed in a timely manner through to resolution. Undertake complex or sensitive case work as appropriate.
  • Undertake and manage pension projects, produce recommendations after the research and risk assessment of options. This may include the line management of resources for Projects.
  • To manage auto enrolment arrangements for all Pension Schemes ensuring compliance with legislation
  • Understand the pension implications of change and ensure a close and effective working relationship with team and administrators to ensure efficiency of operation.
  • Ensure a good customer service to scheme members and employees and provide guidance to employees on organisations pension schemes though regular and timely communications via intranet communications and face to face communication.
  • Ensure the Assistant Director - People Services, Assistant Director - Treasurer/Resources and Finance Manager are updated on key issues.
